This toki pendant has been carved from rare Te Tau Ihu nephrite, found in a local river in the Nelson/Tasman region and hand shaped into the taonga you see here.

Traditionally, the toki was a tool used by Maori. When worn, it represents courage, strength, mana and honour. A powerful symbol with deep cultural meaning.

Over time, the stone will absorb the natural oils of the wearer, creating a lasting connection. Pounamu is extremely durable and can be treasured as a family heirloom for generations.
